To help my family get through these days, I’ve instituted an OWS, or Orange Warning System. For example, wake up, read the news, daughter comes into the kitchen and asks, “Dad, what kind of day is it going to be?”
“Sweet potato, sweetie. Sweet potato,” and she’ll know exactly what that means and how to prepare for the day.
